Andrew da Roza is a qualified addictions psycho-therapist working with Promises Healthcare Pte. Ltd., a leading private mental health services provider in Singapore. He has a Masters degree in counseling from Monash University in Australia and he is also certified in Singapore as a: substance abuse therapist; solution focused therapist; and quit smoking consultant. He is currently enrolled with King’s College, London in a Masters degree in addictions studies.
Andrew is also an English and Hong Kong lawyer, with a BA in law from Kent University and a Masters in law from King’s College. London. He also has an EMBA, jointly from Kellogg, Northwestern University and HKUST.
He worked in private practice for seven years with U.K. law firms Linklaters and Lovells, before he moved in-house with FedEx’s Asia Pacific Division for fourteen years, as the Vice President, Legal and Regulatory Affairs. He was the General Counsel of International SOS for three years before retiring from law to change careers and service the community in Singapore.
He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Community Chest and a member of the Eurasian Society of Singapore. As a member of these organisations and as a Board member of We Care, Andrew is dedicated to helping people in need through fund raising and participating in social service programmes.
WE CARE is starting a new ongoing support group called “Family and Friends Support Group”. This ongoing weekly group is conducted by WE CARE counsellors. It is meant for spouses, lovers, parent, lovers , children or friends affected by an addicted loved one.
"Family & Friends" teaches effective strategies for self care and coping with addiction. The support group focuses on changing the way you interact with the addicted loved one. "Family & Friends" is based on the CRAFT Model & SMART Recovery tools. We will touch on important topics that family members tend to experience, like

"Family & Friends" is scheduled on every Thursday, 7pm to 830pm, at WE CARE. The first session will start on 16 August 2018. This will replace the FREE workshop wef now.

SMART stands for Self-Management & Recovery Training. Participants learn tools for addiction recovery based on the latest scientific research and participate in a world-wide community which includes free, self-empowering, science-based mutual help groups. All facilitators are registered SMART Recovery Facilitators.

SMART is an ongoing closed group & is catered for individuals with a history of addictions. Interested participants are required to undergo a clinical intake before attending SMART Recovery.
