Alcohol Use Disorder refers to a problematic pattern of alcohol use that leads to significant clinical distress and serious health, relationship and social consequences. 

Alcohol Use Disorder gradually develops as your tolerance to alcohol increases. If you’re a binge drinker or you drink every day, the risk of developing alcohol use disorder is greater. 

Signs and Symptoms of Alcohol Use Disorder

  • Regularly drinking more alcohol than you intended to?
  • Unable to control or cut down on your alcohol use?
  • Spending a lot of time in getting alcohol?
  • Having a strong desire to drink alcohol?
  • Repeatedly neglecting responsibilities?
  • Repeatedly drinking alcohol despite recurrent social and interpersonal problems made worse by the alcohol use?

Substance Or Alcohol Recovery programme (SOAR) Programme

Addiction is a mental health disorder. Many people have their health, finances and, ultimately, their lives turned upside down by addiction. However, with timely and consistent treatment and support, recovery is possible. At WE CARE, our mission is to provide accessible and professional help for individuals and families struggling with various forms of addiction. We provide a safe environment for the individual and family to work on their issues and effect long-lasting change.

The SOAR (Substance or Alcohol Recovery) Programme is a structured therapy programme designed for people with substance, prescription meds and/or alcohol abuse problems.

Counselling is provided by trained addiction specialists.

Basic programme components:

  • 6 individual sessions
  • 2 family sessions
  • 4 group sessions

Depending on needs, some clients may require further sessions after the initial phase of programme

  Families in Recovery through Education and Empowerment  

FREE stands for Families in Recovery through Education and Empowerment. FREE is a workshop for the family members of addicted ones. 

Date: Every 2nd Monday of the Month except Public Holiday
