Shoplifting behaviour is an inclination to shoplift or steal as a result of underlying psychological distress. 

Signs and Symptoms of Shoplifting

  • Recurrent of thoughts shoplifting
  • Overpowering desire to shoplift
  • Shoplifts as a way of relieving anxiety
  • Pleasure or relief after committing the shoplift

At WE CARE, we offer a unique and specialised outpatient treatment programme for compulsive stealing and shoplifting behaviour. Our programme helps them understand, manage and stop the compulsive stealing, and effect lasting lifestyle changes that are critical for sustained long-term recovery.

FREE stands for Families in Recovery through Education and Empowerment. FREE is a workshop for the family members of addicted ones.
