
SAFE Family Day 2025
On Saturday, December 6th, there was a different kind of activity at WE CARE – the third SAFE Family Day, an event that has become a meaningful part of our calendar.
Project SAFE (Support for Addicts and Families through Empowerment) supports individuals who are released from DRC (Drug Rehabilitation Centre) and are attached to WE CARE as part of their CBP.

WE CARE celebrated its 20th anniversary on Saturday 6th September 2025 with a gala lunch at the Shangri-La Hotel.
Six months in the planning and preparation, the lunch event and fundraiser hosted more than 300 guests comprising WE CARE beneficiaries, volunteers, donors, supporters, staff and Board directors.

ODAAT is a theme which recurs frequently in addiction recovery stories,
where persons in early recovery are encouraged to take things a day at a time
so that the journey of recovery is more manageable and less daunting.
Applied to our fundraiser, this concept sees participants
taking on daily challenges (challengers), or supporting challengers
by making donations to them (supporters).

Fundraising is a big part of what we do at WE CARE and is something that needs to be done annually if we are to be able to run our treatment programmes.
We have 3 fundraising events planned for this year, the first of which is the One Day At A Time Challenge which will run for 12 weeks from 5 May 2025 to 21 July 2025.
One Day At A Time is a core concept in addiction recovery, and that’s where the idea for this fundraiser was born. It’s a reminder for someone to focus on the present and break down a challenge into manageable chunks.

As we approach 2025, WE CARE Community Services is preparing to celebrate 20 years of serving the recovering community and their families. Coinciding with this significant milestone, we are honoured to announce that Mdm Halimah Yacob, the former President of the Republic of Singapore and the current Chancellor of the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), has graciously accepted our invitation to become the Patron of WE CARE Community Services.
