Yuen Han is an addiction specialist with 16 years direct clinical experience in the field of substance and behavioural dependency. Currently heading the clinical team at WE CARE Community Services, she has oversight of the clinical staff and the services that our charity provides to the community.
Yuen Han holds a Master of Counselling degree from Monash University. She is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention(MBRP) and EMDR. She is a Certified Master Addiction Therapist (CMAT) accredited by Asia Pacific Certification Board, as well as a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counsellor (CSAC), registered with the Association of Professionals Specialising in Addiction Counselling (APSAC). Additionally, she is a Certified EMDR Practitioner, registered with EMDR Singapore; and a Full Member of EMDRIA (EMDR International Association).
Prior to joining WE CARE full time, Yuen Han was in private practice as a psychotherapist, at Promises Healthcare and Raffles Hospital. She has extensive hands-on experience providing individual, family and group therapy for persons or family members living with addiction. She was also involved in delivering training and educational workshops to advocate for early intervention and treatment of addictive disorders.
Yuen Han joined the social services sector after 28 years of corporate management experience. Her last corporate role was as Chief Operating Officer of a digital consulting network with offices in Singapore, Beijing, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. She had management oversight and fiscal responsibility of a 200 staff strength stationed across the Asia Pacific region.
