Yvonne Yuen

Senior Counsellor

Yvonne has been a trained psychotherapist since 2006.  She provides psychotherapy services in both substance and behavioural addiction including depression, mental health condition, stress, anxiety, and grief. She is concurrently a Director of the Asia Pacific Certification Board, a regional not-for-profit body that provides training and certification for persons seeking professional accreditation in the field of addictions counselling.

Yvonne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of South Queensland, and a Master of Social Science (Counselling) degree from the University of South Australia. She is a Certified Master Addiction Therapist (CMAT) accredited by Asia Pacific Certification Board, a Certified Gambling Addiction and Substance Abuse Therapist accredited by the Association of Professional Substance Abuse Therapists (APSAC) and a Certified Self-Management Recovery Training (SMART) Facilitator. She also holds the Specialist Certificate in Family-Focused Loss, Grief, and Bereavement Support.

Prior to joining WE CARE full time, Yvonne was in private practice as a psychotherapist, at Promises Healthcare and Raffles Hospital.  She has extensive hands-on experience providing individual, family and group therapy for persons or family members living with addiction.

Yvonne leads the operations of the Drop-in Centre at WE CARE, which provides a safe and supportive place for those who are recovering with a wide range of holistic activities and programme.
