WE CARE Community Service’s marquee fundraising event for 2024 took place on Sunday, 1st September 2024, featuring a matinee and evening performance at the School Of The Arts (SOTA) Concert Hall.
This first-of-its-kind fundraiser was graced by Guest of Honour, SPS Eric Chua, and was proudly supported by generous donors including Marina Bay Sands, Sian Chay Medical Institution, Lim Ah Boy, BH Global Corporation, Nehemiah Foundation, New Group, Ng San Tiong Roland, Singapore Pools, and Woodlands Memorial. We also acknowledge the continual support of the Toteboard.
The concert proved to be an extraordinary experience, showcasing a rich tapestry of genres that highlighted the versatility and skill of Reverberance, a renowned Singapore-based Chinese wind percussion ensemble that has garnered prestigious accolades. Beyond their musical excellence, Reverberance is dedicated to nurturing young, upcoming musicians and consistently gives back to the community, aligning perfectly with the values of WE CARE.
The concert also featured captivating performances from students of Martial House, stunning costumes from Traditional Arts Centre, and incredible dancers from Flamin.co, adding a dynamic and colourful dimension to the event.
The audience were able to enjoy memorable performances while supporting a noble cause. Proceeds from the concert directly benefit WE CARE Community Services, aiding in their mission to provide essential support and resources for addiction recovery and education.

WE CARE has a support group called “Family and Friends Support Group”. Facilitated by WE CARE counsellors, this group is meant for caregivers, spouses, partners, family members or friends affected by an addicted loved one.
"Family & Friends" teaches effective strategies for self-care and how to cope with the recovering addict. The support group focuses on changing the way you interact with the recovering loved one. Using the CRAFT Model and SMART Recovery tools, we will touch on important topics that family members and friends experience, including:

SMART Recovery
SMART stands for Self-Management & Recovery Training. Participants learn tools for addiction recovery based on the latest scientific research and participate in a world-wide community which includes free, self-empowering, science-based mutual help groups. All facilitators are registered SMART Recovery Facilitators.
SMART is an ongoing closed group and caters to individuals with a history of addiction. Interested participants are required to undergo a clinical intake before attending SMART Recovery.

Mindfulness For Recovery
Mindfulness for Recovery is an open group to learn and practice mindfulness. Mindfulness helps participants to break away from their own destructive habitual patterns. All facilitators have personal experience practising mindfulness. This group is catered for people with a history of addictions, reactive behaviours and/or mood disorders.
